Download electronic versions of selected books The Devil's Doctors: Japanese Human Experiments on Allied Prisoners of War from 4shared, mediafire, hotfile, and mirror link The brutal Japanese treatment of Allied POWs in WW2 has been well documented. The experiences of British, Australian and American POWs on the Burma Railway, in the mines of Formosa and in camps across the Far East, were bad enough. But the mistreatment of those used as guinea pigs in medical experiments was in a different league. The author reveals distressing evidence of Unit 731 experiments involving US prisoners and the use of British as control groups in Northern China, Hainau Island, New Guinea and in Japan. These resulted in loss of life and extreme suffering. Perhaps equally shocking is the documentary evidence of British Government use of the results of these experiments at Porton Down in the Cold War era in concert with the US who had captured Unit 731 scientists and protected them from war crime prosecution in return for their cooperation. The author’s in-depth research revealed that, not surprisingly, archives have been ‘combed’ of much incriminating material but enough remains to paint a thoroughly disturbing story. The author has managed to write a book based on an idea that could be summed up on a single page. Unit 731 definitely conducted biological warfare experiments, weapons testing and developments, with a total disregard for human life. Based on testimony from people who served in unit 731, and the facts presented here, there is every likelihood that some of this testing was conducted on America POWs. The US government did go to some extraordinary lengths to acquire the document's, data and personnel from the Japanese biological warfare unit 731. In doing so they labeled everything about unit 731 top secret and it got covered up. No we didn't share this information with our allies. None of the many doctors who were involved in the unit 731 activities ever faced war crime tribunals, except those captured by the Russians. Just as Werner Von Braun never faced a war crime tribunal. In fact, after the war, several of them came over and worked in the US on our biological warfare efforts (which as signatories of the Geneva convention we weren't supposed to be conducting in the first place). A good many other doctors who worked at 731 went on to become notable individuals within Japanese Medical schools and pharmaceutical companies. Even today, 70 years later, a lot of the data on 731 and what is known (by the government) about what testing was done, by who and on whom, remains highly classified information.By Amazon Customer
