Divorcing a Narcissist: Advice from the Battlefield- Prior to stepping onto the battlefield with a Narcissist, it is imperative to know their playbook both forwards and backwards. The behavior of individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder generally defies logic but sadly, their tactics in the Family Court System often fool Judges, Commissioners, Attorneys, Minor’s Counsel, Social Workers, Therapists and even trained Evaluators. Narcissists are the masters of manipulation and projection and are known to launch stealth assaults that will leave their victims in an utter state of confusion and desperation. Victims are often left shattered and without a voice because they feel that no one could possibly believe or understand what they are silently enduring.

Author, Tina Swithin, understands what it’s like to divorce a narcissist. Tina spent over four years on the battlefield of the Family Court System while acting as her own attorney in a desperate attempt to protect her two young daughters. While Tina’s first book, Divorcing a Narcissist: One Mom’s Battle details Tina’s personal journey and court battle, her new book offers solid advice and sanity-saving wisdom for transforming from victim to survivor. Education is power and Divorcing a Narcissist: Advice from the Battlefield is your personal guide and resource for navigating through high-conflict divorce.

Those who have never been in an adversarial situation with a narcissist find it hard to believe the things that happen when you face one in court. The cliché's "it takes two to tango" and "all divorces are bad but will calm down when everyone moves on" do NOT apply here. Imagine being a bully's target for years with very little resources to help you. Tina put's the nightmare in book form and allows others to tell their story..... Thank you Tina for giving us a voice....

I would recommend this book as well as Tina's first book One Mom's Battle. If you've been with anyone with NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) or just think they might be someone with NPD: YOU NEED HELP! Divorce puts everyone involved in a fog and you CAN NOT afford to be in a fog with that "special someone". YOUR KIDS LIVES are at stake, their safety, emotional stability and security, their future spouses- it's up to YOU to get them as safe as you possibly can and the courts and Social Services just don't get what you're going through- they're overburdened and sadly, most just want your case to be done. Since Tina went pro se (no divorce attorney) most of the time, she knows the ins and outs and actually faced off with a judge who ignored her STBX's (soon to be exes) lies! I Cheered outloud! I know you're tired, burnt out and just ready to be done but read this book first. If someone you're married to is willing to treat you like dirt, your kids like pawns during your marriage- it's going to be a helluva battle to divorce them and you have support with these books as well as Tina's website and face book page. Google One Mom's Battle- ask questions, don't give up and know that God loves you and loathes what has happened to you. He wants you and your kids to be safe but you have to help Him out! RESEARCH! I also recommend Cindy Burrells books "why is he so mean to me" and "God is My Witness- making a case for biblical divorce". Hang in there- you can do it.
