I ordered this book for a college class at the last minute because my school bookstore was sold out.

The product was recieved promptly and in perfect condition.

Would definately recommend this book for anyone in the field of geriatrics, even if not specifically in the nursing. The book offers information on aging and ways to interact with the elderly that is invaluable information.

I am a caregiver with hospice assist. I got this book hoping it might provide tips of how to handle a bed-ridden, non-compliant, almost immovable 95 yr old patient, and provide answers to some questions visiting nurses don't want to address. While the work offered some insights, it is principally intended for nursing in hospital setting leading to eventual cure (and some form of certification). Unfortunately, it is not the purview of hospice to effect cures. Their focus is entirely palliative care. Therefore, for my particular need I didn't really get much out of this book. Having said that, it is very well written, easy to understand, and otherwise informative.
And, yes, while of little use to me, I would recommend it to anyone pursuing the nursing profession.
