HcPro's User manual is the best one out there right now. Complete MDS 3.0 which you can also download off CMS.gov. This book has updates, thorough explanations, scenarios, examples for the entire 3.0 MDS/RAI. Helps you make the correct decision. I have owned two of them over the years. The chapters are difficult to wade through only one time. You have to read it, highlight it, underline it, star it; and then REFER back to it multiple times. It is your RNAC Bible and should be kept next to you on the desk for doing patient assessments. It contains the sections, A-Q; the CATs that trigger care plans, and the CAAs that need to be built in the computer. It has a nice ADL appendix, and a explanation section on why the Social Worker, Activities Director, Nurse, and Dietitian cross walk answers cause the software to trigger in the first place and how they are inter-related in SNF/LTC. If your company, boss or Admin people are too stupid to buy this for you, then buy it yourself and take it off your taxes as a work related expense. IF you use it, it will pay for itself as your learning guide to the MDS 3.0 over and over. Buy the MDS 3.0 Care Plans also, if your company's computer software is the usual limited garbage and does not have them to access for you to individualize.
