WONderful account of the development of molecular biology and its extraordinary possibilities...By Millicent Tomkins
I bought this book because my husband was part of the development of science at UCSF and he was given substantial mention. So I don't know how generalizable my review is. However if you are interested in academic matters and the building of a first class medical institution and recombinant DNA, you will find this readable, well written, and interesting. You don't have to be a scientst to understand the story. (Obviously, Drew Baker is not my real name.)By Drew Baker
