I have read so many 2,000-paged textbooks before on other animals, and all of them were not written well; it kept repeating and contradicting itself with lots of unnecessary material.

However, this book was amazing. I learned so much and everything tied together so well. Then again, I'm not new to herpetology, so that might be a difference (I breed multiple species colubrids and anurans).
