It is good for understanding concepts, since it gives you a way to draw neurological system conceptually, but it is not a substitute for an atlas.

As a current med student, I was really struggling with remembering, and more importantly, understanding neuroanatomy before getting this book.

The Draw It to Know It process helped me achieve a deeper understanding of the subject matter, pushing me past the superficial knowledge of rote memorization to that place of actual comprehension and understanding.
