it's compact and easy to understand with nice pictures of pathological conditions. It's good for a quick review but not enough for full understanding of diseases

A note from one of the editors. The 5th edition of Essentials is a new text based on Rubin's Pathology 5th edition. The text in the full version has been condensed ,abbreviated and updated so as to make it particularly useful for dental and allied health students. Medical students might also find it of value as a quick review. Comments (critical or otherwise) are solicited. The "five stars" are of course my conflicted opinion
